Olympic Mist

The parade has come, the crowds have cheered
Olympic mania has swept us up and placed us here
From this high, now where do we aspire
Days pass following the cauldrons dwindling fire
Normality may bring its respite - less colour - more light
Commuters settle into routine
A memory of the greatest Olympics yet seen.




Note on this piece:  Great Britain has been swept up in an Olympics euphoria and having watched the parade through London of our athletes I reflected on what next...
